Infused Rum
Infused rum is rum that is flavored through contact with fruits and herbs. It is sometimes sweetened. Bacardi offers several infused rum formulas including Raspberry, Pineapple Fusion, Dragon Berry and Limon with around 100 to 106 calories per 1.5-ounce serving.
Rum Classifications
Light-colored rums are light-bodied and are filtered to remove color and some flavors. They are often used for infusions. Golden rums achieve their amber color through several years of aging in oak casks. Dark rums can have strong caramel or molasses flavors arising from their pot distillation and long aging in wood casks.
Mixers
Many Bacardi drinkers make cocktails out of the liquor using a variety of mixers, from Coca Cola to ginger ale, pineapple juice to orange juice, lime juice to grenadine.
Unless you're mixing Bacardi with a diet soda, chances are your mixer contains calories. Every component you include adds more calories to your drink, so be mindful of this when you are choosing your mixer and be sure to measure how much of both the Bacardi and the mixing component — or components — you are using in each drink.
